About Glenndale Days

Glenndale Airport comes alive in the fall for Glenndale Days, our annual BBQ Bash! During the event, we offer special introductory flights in our "regular" airplanes, WWII airplanes, breakfast, lunch, dinner and more.

Glenndale Days is a charity event. The proceeds of the event go to help children and families suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). When you take a ride in the AT-6 Texan, you're not only getting the thrill of a lifetime. You're also helping children suffering from SMA to breathe, eat, be medicated and monitored, and helping families to communicate and cope.

For more information on SMA, or to donate to SMA Support, click here.

Driving In

Airplane Rides

The AT-6 was used as a trainer for Allied pilots during WWII. Even today, pilots must first prove themselves in the AT-6 before flying a P-51 Mustang for the first time. The AT-6 sports a thundering 600 HP Pratt and Whitney radial piston engine. AT-6 rides carry one passenger per ride.
Other World War II Warbird rides, such as the Fairchild PT-26, will be available. Warbird rides are one passenger per ride.
Vintage biplane rides will be available.
We also offer Introductory Lessons in historic airplanes where you get to take the controls and experience the world of flight with an instructor. These flights are available in the Piper Cub or Aeronca Champ. One person per flight.
Take the family for a fun flight over the city of Kokomo and see the sights from above! Up to 3 people a time. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
